A Create Construction bespoke home
The Reddie House, a nod to practical minimalism. Featured on Habitus Living
Our clients Andrew and Caroline, interior architects, turned furniture designers, wanted to create their new freestanding family home in the leafy suburb of Sydney's Queens Park. Through joint collaboration with Andrew Chapman Architects, Reddie House is a contemporary two-story home that could be described as the layout of a Balinese Villa set within a brutalist architectural shell.
The heart of the home is its double-height living room made of cantilevered concrete beams, which contains a spacious kitchen, lounge, and dining area. The living space boasts seamless outdoor living and spills outdoors onto the lush garden and pool through expansive glazed walls and sliding stacked doors.
The house also serves as a gallery space for Caroline and Andrew to experiment with and showcase new designs. In fact, each and every piece in the house is a new or tailored design from the Reddie brand.
